As long as you eat fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight. So obviously no matter what you eat, it's all about restricting calories. Not to rain on your parade, so to speak, but cucumbers have very little nutritional value, so you better take supplements and get some protein from somewhere if you don't want to become ill.

over-eating makes you fat. fat doesn't make you fat. look at the ketogenic diet, its comprised mostly of fat and protein... don't give advice if you haven't done the homework on it. chances are the benefits you gain from cucumber water mainly come from the fact that your drinking a lot of water... oh man. i dont get these fads..... here's a good workout plan. diet. and exercise. daily. take a day or two off on the weekends. repeat.

It wasn't til I started running up and down 34 floors of stairs at work (during my 30 minute lunch break) did I start to lose weight. I didn't go to the gym but i did SOMETHING. I got my heart pumping and my legs moving and I quit eating fastfood and snacked (when hungry) on an apple, or a couple of celery sticks, or whole grain something....I started slowly and at the end of 3 months, I lose 12 pounds...seriously. My plan worked because I quit eating crap all day and most importantly started to EXERCISE! Cucumber water is just a refreshing drink, not a weight loss tool...sorry to burst your bubble!
